Hello fellow Washington chicken lovers, We live in Bremerton in Kitsap county and are currently raising 6 chickens. We received our first egg gift on April 1st and have gotten 4 to 5 a day since. I love their egg song our whole family gets totally excited to see who laid and who will be next! we have had a rough road to making our coop and learning kinda just did it on a whim and didn't research as we should of, trusted our dog a bit too much which lead to the death of our first batch. She was so proud and thought that breaking into the coop was what she was suppose to do! So after a shock collar and the fort Knox of chicken fence they are now safe and we are all happy layers in the city!
I love to hear all your great and funny chicken stories, we have become chicken crazed at our house. Even the kids my 18 month old even tries to heard them in the yard it is quite cute.
