My ducklings are about two weeks old. I just bought mana pro non medicated starter feed. It has 18% protein in it .Now do I need to add the brewers yeast to it and if I do how much ? Thanks everyone !

Hi,

If it's a chick starter, then yes I would add the brewers' yeast at one tablespoon b.y. per cup of food for eight to ten weeks.

This level is the one I have seen others on BYC Duck Forum use.

I use manna pro non medicated starter feed also and if you read the fine print ingredients on the back of the bag, it lists niacin. It doesn't list an amount and says its a complete starter food for ducklings, chicks and goslings so I'm not too sure how much niacin is in there, but I add a pinch of Brewers yeast to it a few times a day as well, just to be safe and I haven't had any problems with my ducklings.
