Bright red discoloration on roo's legs where feathered - natural coloration or disease?

Our splash brahma roo has a dark red discoloration on his legs - but only where his leg feathers protrude. He otherwise has all the signs of being fully healthy - he's active, the correct size for his age (5 months old) and gender, and seems to be a vigorous and happy bird. Around the time that his wattle and comb darkened, parts of his legs also became deep red. It seems to me to it could be part of his natural coloration but I wanted to confirm that he wasn't suffering from an illness/disease.

I've attached a few photos to demonstrate the issue, including one of him when younger before the red coloring had appeared. Thanks in advance for the help!

Most likely a combination of feathered legs and virility.

All healthy, virile males have red lines if they have light colored feet. A lot of featherlegged birds have puckered legs because the scales kinda male the feather holes hard to be used. So either way, he's almost certainly just a healthy bird you happened to notice it on
