Bringing fresh eggs on plane

I am thinking about bringing some fresh eggs on my carry on on the plane. I was wondering what the best way to store them so that they don't break?

Egg cartons would probably be the best to store them.

I don't fly so I don't know if they are allowed in your carry on. Make sure you ask before taking them.

Where are you going? Are they for food or hatching? The one thing is you’ll need to be prepared that they may say you need to dispose of the eggs before boarding the plane (even if they say it’s okay on the phone). The people letting you through often aren’t the same people answering phone calls. If they are for eating I’d peel them before going. Shells are sharp, and they may see shells as something that could harm others on the flight.
