Hello
I am wondering if anyone has used the Brinsea Mini for peafowl eggs, I have read info on the incubator but these are not listed. If you have used this small little machine for peafowl please let me know (for 4 eggs) Thanks

Too small for 4 eggs I think. And unless you were thinking of using a separate hatcher forget it. I use one as my ER when one pips the wrong end of the egg since temp and humidity can be brought up so quickly but even one chick does not fit in there. As soon as I get it out it goes back in the hatcher. They are great for pheasant eggs though.

I use a GOF and sitting hens so i know nothing of the brand you have but...I know there are some folks here that have used a brinsea and like them, don't see why you can not hatch peafowl eggs in them i think Minni just means you can not hatch like 48 eggs in it, do you know how many eggs it holds?

It says 7 chicken or duck eggs or 12 smaller eggs. But peafowl eggs are a little larger than chicken ~ so I was hoping someone had actually used the mini incubator and could tell me if the larger eggs would turn as needed. I didn't want to purchase the larger incubator if this one would work because really won't be using too much, just ever now & then, just trying to watch cost. I know it would be cheaper in the long run to purchase chicks.....but love process of hatching eggs.

I know what you mean about the hatching process, i love hatching baby's very very much and imprinted pea chicks are the best once they get use to you leaving them for a while, they do pine for what they deem their mother and their cries are so pitiful as they run the sides of the brooder trying to get to you.

, Hopefully someone can help you here when they see you post but if you can put duck eggs in it i do not see why peafowl eggs would not work because i have duck eggs as big as peafowl eggs here

As you can see from picture hatching 4 would be a major problem they would probably pop the top of. You can forget the advance model with auto turner eggs don't fit sideways so won't roll. And I've had peafowl eggs bigger than this. This is why I only use as ER.

Brinsea Eco20 with autoturner does fine and holds 9 peafowl eggs easily. The digital models are nice but the Eco's work just as well. Either one I recommend calibrating it. Eco is easier to calibrate since it has thermostat. My advanced were 1.5deg off when new but have never varied since same with Eco. I use peafowl size ceramic eggs with thermostat embeded to calibrate.
Hope this helps
