Brinsea Mini Eco too crowded?

I have the same concern , I started with 12 bantam eggs which I could hardly fit in but I left in there for 4 days and upon day 4 candling , 2 were empty and one was early quitter . So now I m left with 9 . I m really not optimistic with anyone of them hatch as the temperature has not been steady in brinsea Eco mini. The temperature kep moving between the rage of 37.3 to 37.7 .
Today is my day 11 and already a bit worried what if all of them hatch and there is not enough room especially when the chick move inside the incubator it can disposition the other eggs .
Any suggestions as heard that never take the dome off after 18 days.

I'm surprised your temp isn't holding. The temp in my mini Eco holds not like a rock, but a boulder lol. I've heard the same from others. Although I doubt a fluctuation that small will damage them. I just had 2 hatch from an incubator that frequently dipped to 85 and soared to 112 (29.4 and 44.4 celsius)lol.
I would think 9 bantams will be ok in there. And any less than that should be peachy. Fingers crossed for you! If it does start to look cramped in there, I wouldn't worry personally about opening it quickly to pull chicks and shells out, because I had to open it quite often (to help a weak chick hatch) with no ill effects (shrink wrapping), but of course recommend keeping it closed if at all possible. And don't worry too much about chicks shoving the other eggs around. Unless they get frantic, or somehow block a pip hole, the movement shouldn't harm the egg-babies.

I will keep you posted , but honestly I m heart broken and lost hope as some have barly any movement and some have good movement

I will eep you guys posted , but is there not suppose to be movement at this stage or they are developing too fast

I ordered my Brinsea eco mini, 9 eggs are in it. (red star, EE's and a mystery white egg). There's no way 10 regular size eggs can fit. 9 can fit, in 'flower' arrangement around the water dish. The temperature is holding like a rock indeed. I was also used to spiking styrobators, but the brinsea is just humming along in my closet, on a milk crate off the floor about 24" , keeping it at 99.5. I had to adjust it, it wasn't plug and play as advertized. It was holding at 91 at first, even after 8 hours or so. But after I turned the screw and fiddled a little bit (using a digital walmart thermometer/humidity meter) I got it set to the right temperature. I had to use way less water in the dish then was mentioned in the manual, to get it to 40-45% (it was holding at 70% with one side filled) I think because we already have high humidity on the island.

Good luck on your hatch and keep us posted on the results!
