brinsea octo 10 and call duck eggs

has anyone used this and do you have input for me?? I had previously tried 9 duck eggs a few weeks ago, and all failed. I think the temp was too low though. I now have a dozen eggs collected and am ready to go, but I just thought I would see what sort of experience people have had with this incubator and duck eggs.

Do you have a hygro/thermometer in your incubator? I know there are several people that use brinseas and swear by them. Maybe not the 10's, but a brinsea is a brinsea is a brinsea

I do have a thermometer and a hygrometer--but the only way I could get one to fit in the incubator is to actually set them on the eggs themselves--the therm/hygometer are for a reptile terrarium, and I was told they are pretty accurate...

What I am wondering mostly about is: To Hand Turn or Not To Hand Turn... It seems that every time I take the tray out it bumps the eggs pretty well. It just seems like the less I mess with the incubator the better once I get the temp/humidity right. Crossing fingers... Initially I was going to set them a few nights ago, but the timing with Memorial weekend was off

so I will set them on Saturday....

Is there anyway you can just 'turn off' the turner? And leave it in there?
