How does anyone monitor the humidity in this incubator? I have a rather large hygrometer and would rather not plunk it in the bator. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

I purchased a small hygrometer (I think on e-bay and under $10). It's about the size of a man's pocket watch and I do put it in my Brinsea Eco 20. Once I used double stick tape to stick it under the viewing area of the incubator. It works well. I think this hygrometer was intended for use in a humidor (for cigars).

I just got one a few months ago and have just started hatching with it. Have hatched 3 batches so far, 100% hatches. All I do is fill up those water trays in the bottom, open the vent just a little bit, and let it go. I dont use a hygrometer, as there isnt any room, and it doesnt seem to need one. Holds the humidity much better than the styro ones do.

Do you fill up one in the beginning and two at the end of the hatch? I checked now and in one day the water is gone! (But I only filled one up)

I put the eggs in there at day 18, and fill up both channels full. I did have to refill them one time. Just had another 100% hatch yesterday.
