Hi, everyone!

So a couple of weeks ago I bought a Brinsea Ovation 28 Advance, and I have 28 eggs in it. Today I notice there's a hole right in the front of the lid, and it has a little thermometer type measuring thing on it (without the mercury). Is that supposed to be the external water-top-up? Where I can add water without lifting the lid? But there's a screw in the bottom of it. Duh--I'm supposed to remove the screw, right? But then don't we lose heat?

I searched online and in the manual, and I cannot find one word in the manual or directions about that tiny hole. And I've found that this incubator is super sensitive when it comes to water. Combined with my Florida humidity, it only takes a few drops before my humidity is high.

Does anyone use this little thing to add water? I've been lifting the lid, but I sure don't want to do that during hatch.

Thanks!

Ack! Never mind. That little thing at the front of the lid doesn't have a hole, so I have no idea what it does, if anything. Still clueless.
