Brinsea Temps Help

Everywhere I read is says to have the Humidity up around 50-55% days 1-18, then 65% for lockdown period. You say you have good results at 35%? What are others doing - anyone
Steve

Brinsea recommends 40-50. Mine goes to 45 (ish - remember that I don't calibrate) after filling the one trough and then goes down to high 30s when it's this dry and cold. When it's wetter out it stays in the mid 40s. I also try to keep an eye on the air cells and the weight, though I forgot to mark my weighing egg this time and so I'm not weighing (oops).

So is this your first time hatching? or have you had success with these settings in the past? Just curious, do you use shipped eggs or your own?
Also, what breeds do you hatch?
Thanks,
Steve

Ok you asked so I will share. I live in an extremely dry climate, keep that in mind. I shoot for 20-35% the first 18 days and then 40-50% during lockdown. Keep in mind that humidity here at 35% means watering twice a day at a minimum. Lockdown I have to use a really thick sock soaked in water to maintain humidity. Those of you in more humid climates do not feel my pain.
