British Range = Dark British Range?

I have always thought that the Rossetta was when you crossed a Brown (or some color) with a Tibetan, and a Tibetan was a Rosetta x Rosetta or Tibetan x Tibetan breeding.

ie. Rosettas were a "single dose" of the color gene and Tibetans were a "double dose."

How wrong am I and how does it really work?

British Range is the Rosetta. Someone coined the term Rosetta here in the U.S in the lab when they started getting the gold pinning

The Dark British Range is the Tibetan. Both can be housed together. The "Rosettas" do not breed true

That's what I was wondering. So I assume a Rosetta is going to be a Brown x Tibet or Manchurian x Tibet cross?

The Rosetta came from Dark Range crossing with a brown...you can get similar results with a Manchurian, yes.
