Broad Breasted Bronze-good or bad?

Are BBB's really an undesireable bird to have? What about one hen for a pet? Why are they bad?

BBB turkeys are like the cornish cross of chickens. They will grow fast, and eventually have leg issues due to thier weight. I guess one might be able to restrict thier feed...and keep thier weight down a bit, but im not sure.

I agree. The BBB will break down, even the hens if you are not careful. BBB's are born to eat and eat and then be eaten.

yes, for a pet you want a heritage breed such as a Burbon Red, a Blue Slate, or a Black Spanish.

That's a Burbon Red(This isn't mine, I currently have no turkeys, but I'm getting like four in a week or two)

I had a BBB last year that got to 38 pounds live weight at 4 months. At the same time, my BBW was 40 pounds.
