Our hen has started to lay eggs about a week or or so give or take a few days. She has also just started that we have noticed eating the eggs. Why is she eating the eggs? What can we do about it? Thanks so much in Advance.

Your turkey is eating her eggs right? I don't have any turkey's so I am going to ask a couple of questions. Does your turkey lay her egg in a nest like a chicken does? Is she is with other birds? As for why is she doing it. That one is easy. It is because it is delicious. All of your birds will eat eggs if they learn what is inside. Once they discover what a delicious treat lays inside of them it is hard to break them of the habit. Most likely one got broken accidentally and she ate it. After that happens they will break them open to eat. Any other birds around her are likely to learn this new trick. With chickens people often put in nests where the egg rolls away and is hidden from the bird when it is laid. Others will put eggs that they have blown out the yolk and filled it with something like mustard in the coop for the bird to eat so that they will change their mind eating eggs. You need to break this bird of the habit soon. Otherwise give up on getting any of the eggs or decided if it is time for a turkey dinner.

Yes she is eating her eggs. She is with a (chicken) Rooster but the rooster is mainly out pen. Now she is with another (chicken) rooster and a hen. She mainly just finds a good spot and lays it.
