So unfortunately shortly after this post I made, Gobbles, my one hen, she passed away from a heart attack 
which was incredibly difficult for my family to say the least, then I went on a mission to locate another turkey or turkeys NO BBB OR BBW I had made my mind UP no more! To find turk turk a friend since I still had her! And she was such a wonderful beautiful funny girl! Sadly, it took me MONTHS to locate some more turkeys, I wanted only heritage PERIOD and the week I placed my order for them sadly, turk turk prolapsed and we tried to fix it working like dogs for HOURS my mom, who worked in vets offices my WHOLE LIFE, my best friend who works with turkeys for 15 years etc, has her own business etc and it wasn't working, I knew it wasn't working and it was time, that we were making her suffer for what? Me? No I won't do that to her, so the vets office who doesn't do anything BUT cats and dogs happened to grow up with turkeys and asked us if we planned on eating her, I was too upset to speak so my friend explained no that I never eat my birds not EVER, he agreed to it, so we carried her n my daughter and I got to tell her how much we loved her etc and say goodbye to our dear sweet girl, they came and got her, and we waited outside until it was finished. The vet then did something I've never had a vet do BEFORE EVER! He called me on the phone as we were leaving told me exactly what he did, that because we couldn't b with her, that he got all his staff together and they were in the room loving her holding her telling her its OK, that meant the WORLD TO ME AND MY FAMILY! it really did, then he told me how smart turkeys r etc I said I know she was told him stories he laughed said they're just like dogs no one believes me! I said I say the same thing! Then to my shock and dismay, a card was in my mailbox with each of the office staff that was there that day all had signed it, all said something sweet about my sweet girl again I've worked with A LOT OF VETS SO FOR THEM TO DO THIS MEANT EVERYTHING TO ME! I have since received my new birds I have 4 babies that r 6 weeks old now, I want to thank EVERYONE for yalls help because I PLAN TO FULLY USE UR WORDS UR ADVICE TO DO THIS THE RIGHT WAY THIS TIME AROUND SO THEY GROW UP AND LIVE HAPPY HEALTHY LONG LIVES! ur advice GOD ITS MEANT THE WORLD TO ME! Below is my beloved turk turk in a happier time in her big ole nesting box she LOVED!

My neighbor had a broad breasted white hen that she kept as a pet for almost 5 years. She restricted her feed, and let her free range daily. She was a darling! She never had any health issues until a few weeks ago when she suddenly passed away. We think the heat got to her. 
you just have a big heart for your aminalz! I couldn't think of killing my chickens for food but my DH wants to one day 
they all KNEW they were in trouble n did wrong as they all knew me n had for years which is exactly why NO ONE came in my house until 430 am AFTER I had cried myself to sleep! And once I put 2 n 2 together at 8 am the next morning seeing 2 rifles next to my backdoor, u only had n need ONE, n ONE BULLET not 2 and damn sure didn't need a CLIP! I asked my husband for my feathers as I asked him to pull a tail father for me! He finally tells me what happened I LOST IT! he literally didn't even TRY TO sleep in my bed for a week! He slept on the couch! When my daughter asked y I didn't skip a BEAT said with him standing RIGHT THERE why u see daddy has been bad so he's getting his punishment that means he's in the dog house n sleeping on the couch he's LUCKY TO SLEEP IN THE HOUSE PERIOD! he put his head down and WALKED AWAY cause he KNEW HE WAS WRONG he and his buddies were drinking and thought it was funny n were too damn LAZY to dig a HOLE?! SERIOUSLY!?
