Brody hen going on 3 months.

I went to pick up my silkies a week or so ago. He had a silkie that has been broody for 8 months, or so he said. She has been sitting on nothing for 8 months.

Wow.. that is quite awhile.. did she go back to normal?

In my experience, birds that are not allowed to free-range go broody more frequently/stubbornly, than those that have access to the range. So I'm curious if this 8 month brooder was penned in or not.
But I've heard Silkies make great brooders.
That is one determined silkie!! wow!

I free range mine.. not sure about the 8 month one.. that is a long time.
