I have 2 buff orpington hens that insist of sitting on eggs any way to get them to stop?

Best way to get them to stop is to put them in a wire bottomed cage /crate (or I sometimes use a plastic dog kennel) for about 48 hrs. Don't give them anything comfortable to nest in. If they go running straight back to their preferred nest when you let them out, it hasn't worked and it's time to go back in! Good luck!

I usually feel bad about putting them in uncomfortable cages so I stay out at the coop for around an hour, repeatedly pulling her off the nest. Or you can pull her off the nest and shut the coop door for a little bit, but that can affect other chickens:hmm
Make sure you gather the eggs from her too!
