There were two hatcheries mentioned on here a few months back as good sources of non-cornish meat hybrids similar to but not Freedom Rangers... but I have been searching and am coming up empty handed. Does that ring a bell to anyone?
I am looking for an economical non-cornish or non-white cornish meat bird, and I need to be ordering soon. My plan is to have them brood outside with either no heat or only heat at night through the end of august them move them outside the first or second week of September. If things go as planned (and when does that ever happen???) outside temps will cool down just around the time they are no longer needing heat.
I would also like to order from a hatchery that is relatively near Minnesota so that my chicks don't bake en route.
