Broken back maybe??

Hello all, i have a pullet(mixed breed)..little backstory...born in a clutch of 9..4 days older than the others..but half their size...wobbles like shes drunk(we thought maybe neurological problems...2 days ago she was bitten by dog..not hard..but hard enough that i heard a pop in lower back area...she is acting normal..eating drinking...basking in sun..chirping..everything seems fine..except her left foot is curled always..and she cannot walk..she flaps her wings and drags herself to move...i dont know what to do to treat..or if she will survive...i dont want to put her down..but because of farm owners beliefs...vet/medicine are not options here...has to be all natural

@Eggcessive and/or @Wyorp Rock may be able to help. You may have trouble treating her with no medicines at all....do nutrient supplements count as medicine?

Im a farmhand here..i help raise her birds...but she is 72 year old conspiracy theory herbalist..no meds..no vets..no vaccines..no normal help...so it's either pray they dont get hurt/sick..or put em down..ive lost 23 babies and 4 adults in the last 6 months..i dont want to lose another

I'm so sorry about that! Losing all those birds must be rough. I hate to say it, but to my untrained eye I think that she may need to be put down....I think that without any medicines or supplements you won't be able to treat it if it's a neurological issue.

The brain thing isnt an issue now..as she gets older she might have seizures..right now its the physical..she cannot walk that worries me

That can also relate to neurological issues, from what I understand. I'm not an expert here, but if you haven't already check her legs and hips all over and see if she responds to pain from you touching her anywhere.

No reaction to pain..but when the dog grabbed her and tossed her...i heard a pop where he bit her..and after that she just lay there unable to walk..other than the non walking..she acts normal...

I think that you're right that something may be broken or dislocated, possibly along with a neurological issue. Can she not walk on both legs or only one? Make sure that she's getting lots of water. This is getting closer to the point where I won't be very helpful. If you can locate something that's broken, you can sometimes splint it or bandage it to help it heal. @Eggcessive or @Wyorp Rock are probably more helpful than me.

that looks a little ruff I think you have to options either do whatever you can to support her I self healing or put her down chickens can survive through amazing stuff. is she eating on her own? if not it may be a good idea too syringe feed her for another day or too and then if no improvement putting her down good luck

Sorry about the injured chick. It is hard to know exactly what her injuries are. Would the owner allow vitamin E and B complex vitamins to be used? Those could help with a neurological problem and the ability to walk. Certain foods (almonds and sunflower seed,) are high in vitamin E, and beef liver are high in B vitamins. A chicken sling or chair or nest may be fashioned at home to get the chick upright and kept cleaner, and in front of food and water. Here is a good link with slings:
