Broken beak... let it be?

Hi there... noob here. Noticed on my Buff Brahma tonight (my favorite hen) that her top beak is broken off. It looks a little dark in the middle, kind of like when you cut a dog's claw too short. She's not bleeding, and I'm not sure how long she's had this. She seems to be eating still. Do I just let it be and watch it or try to do something for her?
Sorry if this has already been answered... I did a search and didn't see a specific answer.

if it smells bad then give her terimycin. otherwise, she should be ok. the amish cut beaks off all the time, to cut down on flocks pecking. they survive quite well.
