Broken beak, Not sure what to do.

Hi, this is my boy Dusty. He has somehow broke his beak and part of the top fell off, his beak doesn’t fully close anymore and I’m not sure what I should do for him. It kinda looks to me like it’s starting to peel back. Will this grow back? Here are a few pics.

It looks like the top part has been broken off for a good while, the keratin under sheath has already hardened and healed.

Is he picking at something through fencing or catching the beak on a feeder?

Generally something like this I leave alone, the beak will eventually thicken up a bit more. If it seems to be splitting slightly, you can apply a very small amount (like a drop) of Vitamin E oil to the beak, work it in. Do this about once a week to help it not be so brittle.
