Broken beak

So I believe my rooster broke his beak. He broke out and led the flock on a field trip (thankfully everyone returned safe as soon as I shook their food cup and called for them) but his face was covered in blood. I disinfected it and he ate but I just want to know if this needs any further treatment or if it may be able to resolve itself on its own.

It looks as if he was fighting another rooster? Only the tip appears to be damaged. As long as he can eat, I would not intervene. The broken tip may fall off, but the upper beak will regrow.

Yeah, that was my main thought. My neighbor let's his chickens destroy the neighborhood and has abandoned many of them, but wont let anyone do anything about them and that includes a few roos that have been hanging around my fences. Especially since all the hens were perfectly fine. Thanks for your opinion on the matter, I'll be sure to keep it disinfected and make sure hes eating!

Keep an eye on things as he is more vulnerable to attack from other roosters now that his beak is damaged.

Will do! Luckily hes not housed with other roosters. I've blocked up his escape route well (he figured out a lock on the exterior door so I've wired the whole door shut) and now hopefully he wont go looking for more trouble or extra ladies for his flock.
