Rooster has a broken beak (straight across the lower beak, very close to the face)

Somehow it healed up almost completely on its own. I still don’t totally understand how, but it just closed over time. Their beaks are kind of like fingernails, always growing and able to repair themselves to a degree. So I’d bet your roo’s chipped beak will heal just fine too!

I was wondering what happened due to you writing that the beak had begun to mend, when it was somewhat open/not flush with the upper. Glad to know this. I read other threads to learn and be a little more prepared when something happens.
