Hen with lump on face? Non emergency.

What does it feel like? Is it warm? Squishy? Are there any points that look a different color where it might be able to rupture?

I wonder if holding a warm compress on it might do something for her. (Though, boy, I appreciate how hard holding a warm compress on a chicken's face could be!!)

I'm sorry you're still dealing with this!

It's not abnormally warm or anything it is fairly hard. There is a bit of a discoloration I attempted to get pictures but neither her or the camera were super cooperative. I'm wondering if the brown spot is where it wants to pop. I did do the compress so we will see if that did anything lol. If it was an abscess I'd expect it to be hot but it's only a bit extra warm. Though at this point I'm leaning more towards abscess than sinus infection. Especially with how much and how quickly it progressed.

It could be an infected feather follicle although I'd think you'd see the suspect one. It could also be sinus.

I'd poke that with a sterile sewing needle and try get it to drain down using a warm wet compress on it. Then see if it stays that way or builds back up again. She may need an antibiotic but I'd wait and see how it acts after you drain it.
