Broken beak

Hello how do I treat a broken ?

Super glue and a tea bag. Clean and dry the beak, but do it very gently. Broken beaks are the most painful injury a chicken can have. Empty the tea and cut a piece of the paper to fit the break. Super glue it over the break, hold for a bit while it sets.

The patient will require a soft diet for a week or so. Soft boiled egg and boiled rice are winners.

The end of the beak came off and now it’s exposed tissue. I was able to get beak to stop bleeding and clean it with some hydrogen peroxide. Should I put Neosporin on it also? I also have her separated in a quiet place currently.

Yes, treat it as any other wound. The danger beyond infection is it being so painful the chicken will not eat and thus starve. Treat for shock, also. If he won't drink, carefully syringe the water into his beak. Give one teaspoon of sugar into one cup water with a pinch of salt and baking soda.
