About 2 months ago one of my hens got her top beak broken. It is not growing back. I make a wet feed for her. Tried crumble and pellet- she can’t get it—or grit.
Will her beak ever grow out? She looks like scissor beak may be developing. Pics are two weeks ago. sorry they’re not the best- she doesn’t like to be held.

I think that it may grow back with time. But you can trim/file the lower part carwfully only taking off a little each time to slowly adjust both parts which will enable her to have a better grip in things.

I received 2 buff Orpingtons with broken top beaks around 6 weeks ago. They have no problem eating though a little hard to pick up treats. I do have feed in a bucket for them, but I also see them eating out of the feeder. I’m trying to cut the bottom beaks back a little. Not sure how long they’ve been broken, but they are healed up so assuming they are not growing back. Thought maybe scissor beak trimmed, but their alignment appears good.
