went to tuck my girls in for the night and one had a broken, beak the top part of her beak got broken off and was bleeding quite a bit, right now the bleeding has stopped right now i have a bin set up for her right now i would like some advice on food and water for her and if this has happened to anyone before also would she be able to eat and drink normally.

Is the beak broken off, or is the cracked piece still hanging? If the cracked piece is still there, you can take a piece of tea bag paper, moisten it with superglue, and use it as a patch to hold the beak back together. After a couple of months, the cracked piece will grow out and be worn off.

No the beak is completly broken off at the tip, it no longer has the hang over. Its to dark in the house to get a good picture but I will try to post one tomorrow. I gave her some water by dripping it out of a straw for now.

Is she walking around normally or does she seem in pain? I had a cockerel that was in pain because of his leg. We put him out of his misery.

Right now shes kinda sleeping and drowzy but when ever i try to move her she acts like her normal wild child self. From the artical it seems like like the 2nd example she talked about.

I would offer her scrambled egg and natural yoghurt to keep her strength up. It's also soft so she won't need to peck too much as her beak will be very sensitive. Offer it in a deep container so she doesn't have to 'hit bottom'.

Okay thank you, how often should I give her an egg? We dont have natural yogurt and I used the last egg but tomorrow I can pick up more. I did offer her some crumble in my hand a little while ago and she deferentially seemed like she wanted it but I could tell it hurt. I also keep giving her a few straw worth of electrolyte water. I am also going to be putting blue coat on her beak 2-3 times a day to make sure it doesn't get infected.
