Hey all,
One of my buff ducks is getting feathers on his wings and yesterday I noticed he had dried blood on the end of the feather. I read a bit about it and it seemed like the real problem was if it was still bleeding, which it had clearly stopped, so I let him to bed with the rest and figured I would keep an eye on it.
I check them once overnight to refresh water and everything seemed okay at 3 am, but this morning when I checked on them I guess someone had started pecking at it because he had bled again. The bleeding is stopped now but my two questions are 1. What should I do to help this feather heal and keep him safe? Wrap it until it’s healed? And 2. Do his other feathers look like they’re coming in normally or is this like an Angel Wing situation? I’ve looked at pictures to compare but I feel like I can’t tell what’s going on.
Thanks in advance for the help!
