Hello everyone yesterday two of my chickens fought and one grabbed the other's chick by his leg and broke it. We immobilized the chick's leg (hope it will mend) but just how long should we wait till we see results? The chick must be about 2 weeks old more or less.

Probably six weeks for the bone to knit back together, maybe sooner since a baby chick's cells are programmed to grow like lawn weeds.

Is the chick getting around on it? It helps to keep the chick off the leg as much as possible so as not to strain the tissues that are trying to heal. A chick chair is what most people employ for this purpose. https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/versions-of-chick-chairs-please.1166308/

We put tape around his injured leg to force him off it
