I think i have a serious problen with one of my pullets. This morning, i noticed that the largest pullet has a pasty butt. She has white discharge but it doesn't smell bad. i doubt that it's vent gleet. My opinion is, there is a broken egg inside her. is it possible that the rooster caused it as he mates her very often?

i'm thinking the discharge is the eggshell because of its texture. I inserted my finger in her vent this morning but her inside appears to be clear.Later this afternoon i tried inserting my finger again in her vent and i can feel the round hard thing and i'm almost sure that it's an egg.

Will she die? How can i cure it? WHat could possibly went wrong?

If she has a broken egg inside of her she will either pass it or will die. To my understanding there isn't anything you can do. I would separate her so that she isn't stressed.

How is she acting?

There's no penetration from a rooster mating a hen, so really no way for him to cause internal issues.

Hi odelia, i tried to separate her from the flock but it looks like she is more stressed as she wants to go back and be with her sisters. What i did is i separated the roo instead.

Donrae, she is acting normal. She eats and drinks, she walks nomally. if in case its a vent gleet, how do i cure it? thanks for the advise.
