My Muscovy is on her 2nd day of setting. This morning when I woke up she had an eggshell in her beak and was frantically trying to get out of the pen. I let her out (she is now at the lake bathing like she did yesterday morning). Should I clean the busted egg out of the nest or will she take care of it?

I'd clean the nest as best I could. Is there a possibility something is bothering her on the nest ? Other hens attempting to lay in the nest or a drake trying to breed her on the nest can result in broken eggs.

During the day she's the only one in the pen. At night there is a total of 8 ducks and 2 geese in the pen (they were all raised together). I've never seen any of the others mess with her or her nest, and she's been laying for quite a while now.
