Broken eggs

Haha, poor you... How did you get the ducks that you already have?

I bought them at an auction sale earlier this month. I enjoy them so much I can't wait to get more.

I am getting 100 chicks next weekend and I am so excited!! Some of the varieties are silkies,frizzles, buff Cochin, light Brahma, lakenvelders, Egyptian fayoumi, barred rock,wyondette, ..... There are 2 more but I can't think of them right now. My chicks have to be shipped by air so I thought I should get some exotic breeds to maximize my value. I plan on selling the extra birds next spring and hopefully recoop some of my expenses.

Will be nice to have some more pets running around not to mention the eggs.

Yeah, i am really weird, every time i see a couple of eggs in a nest i get so excited and proud of my chickens.

You do have some exotic breeds there, do you have a brooder set up for them??

Yup, lol been ready for weeks. I'm just as excited as when I was pregnant and waiting for my kids to come.

Is it possible for one hen to lay two eggs in one night? This morning I had two eggs. One is broken but the other is fine. I'm pretty certain the one is a drake so it would have to be the hen.

I am not sure, i think they only lay one egg a day but i could be wrong!
