Hey all,

I'm a new member but have lurked here for quite a while. I love my chickens and are excited to add turkeys too! Had some on order but just found out said order was cancelled because "hens aren't laying." I was expecting them next week! So I'm on the hunt for Bourbon Red poults...

BTW, you folks are GREAT!

Did you order from Mc Murray? They have a issue going on even before laying season started. They cancelled the whole year. Sounds fishy to me. You can try another hatchery.

I have an order from McMurray Hatchery and so far haven't heard anything bout a cancelation I hope NOT!! I am really looking forward to my new babies!! I have ordered from cackle hatchery in the past and was happy with them!

Not McMurray, no. Word is the hens aren't laying yet.

I have poults hatching. Just a couple right now.
I have quite a few eggs due to hatch next week if my power outtage didn't kill them.
I am only selling the Blue Slates and Royal Palms tho. And I dont have any Bourbon Reds.
I am in the DFW area.

I started getting egg a month late this year and so did most. This really screwed up the hatcheries. Look for them everyday on CL. I have poults hatching every week now but no BR's. Where in Texas are you?
