Broken leg on chic.

I have a "teenage" chic with a broken leg. I know it sounds stupid, but can it be splinted, so I can save the chick? Also, Will adult chic's and roosters kill smaller ones? I have them seperated now, but would like to put them together. only a chicken wire wall between them, so they should be used to each other, right?

It can be splinted and most heal well. You will have to keep this chick on its own for a few weeks.

How old are the chicks you want to introduce?

3 chics are about 2 months. 5 chicks are 3 weeks.

I would be waiting at least another month on the older ones before introducing them. Roosters can do a lot of damage to young ones as can hens if they are not old enough or large enough to really take care of themselves.
