Broken leg or hip?

Please help. I have a baby chick that was attacked by a dog. I think we saved it in time but his leg just sticks straight out. Is ot broken and if so is there anything we can do?

Put the chick in a short small box close to food and water inside the brooder to rest the leg. Be careful that he doesn't drown in the water if he should fall into it. It could be a sprain or break in the hip knee, or foot, so rest for a week or so may help. It also could be a slipped tendon, which would need to be fixed manually and vet wrapped.
