My Polish Roo is about 10 months old.

Limping on left leg.

Poop is green. Has been for 6 weeks.

No visible injuries.

Warm to touch.

Resting alot, probably from hurt leg though.

Recurring problem.

Went through about 5 weeks of him having a leg issue already, seemed to get better-up to 90%- I say that because he was walking stiffly though, but couldn't scratch for bug and such yet. Then, he started visibly limping again 2 days ago and it has been warm. I gave him aspirin last night for pain, he is very docile lets me hold him etc..the previous 5 weeks I had him penned for 4 of them and was giving Poly-Vi-Sol daily. Wrapped his leg 2 days ago and when he woke up in the morning his foot was swollen, so i must have put it too tight, but didn't think so when I put it on. I would like to take him to a vet but just can't afford it right now. I hate seeing him in any pain, he is absolutely my favorite chicken out there.

NOw, I have teeneagers growing out in the pen he was put in to get well for those 4 weeks, and don't know where to put him so he will stay off his leg. He gets around fine and is crowing, mating eating/drinking.

Please help I am starting to think culling is my last option at this point. I can't even say it aloud to my DH without breaking down.

I wish I could help more, but the green poo makes me think he is not eating enough. As far as the leg.....

I wonder about abscessation? If it is warm to the touch I would think infection somewhere. If it is infected you could see if antibiotics help or maybe leg soaks in betadine (iodine) or chlorhexidine might help. Good luck, get that boy to eat more though
