broken leg

Today while moving my chickens pen one of them got stuck under the bottom rail and now has a broken leg. I have separated her from the others so they won't mess with her. Is this a terminal injury to a chicken or will be able to survive on one leg?

How badly broken is the leg? Can you splint it?

one leg is hanging limp from the joint above the foot. it appears to be broken right there at the joint.

So, the bend in her leg, not actually where the leg joins the body, right?
I have had one legged chickens before who got around just fine. If the break is not in a position where you can splint it then you can only hope that it will fuse back without need of assistance.
Keep her isolated and keep her food and water cloe at hand so she does not have to move around more than necessary. I wish you lots of luck and hope she heals.
