Rooster leg injury

Got him out of the cage to wrap his leg. The blisters have popped and are dry. He was calm. I soaked his leg in epson salt then put neosporin on and wrapped it. When I returned him he immediately started to pick at the bandage. I turned the light off and he calmed down on the wrapping.
That's good that the blisters have popped and dried out.

If that's the case, then you can wrap from foot up the leg, this is harder to pick off. Do check the wrapping daily to ensure fit and that it's not too tight.

It's been a few years since I wrapped/treated a fractured leg, I think I changed the wrapping about every 3 days, since I wrapped from foot up and of course the wrapping gets soiled. It's hard to remember, but I think it took about 6 weeks to heal fairly well, but I kept the leg wrapped for about 8 weeks or maybe a little longer. So...buy bulk sports wrap off Amazon. 😊
