broken neck or somthing else?

when i went out to feed and water the chickens this morning I found one of our sex link chickens with her head under the coop wall wher the wood didn't quite meet the ground and they had scratched it out. her head was outside body inside. I am pretty sure that it got stuck and broke its neck. but I want to be sure that its not somthing else. the rest of our flock looks fine (Other then being ticked about having a dead chicken in the coop) they are still laying eggs and eating.Its too early in the morning for me to deal with this.

i put a block of wood in the hole to stop it up so if it was a broken neck I can deal with it. But shuold I do something to help prevent a disease spread if it is a disease? C

thank you, were new to chickens and I get upset when i don't know right away whats going on. I feel like I'm going to do something horrible and kill them all. Ah to have other animals lives in ones hand. Crystal
