Alright, thanks for the help…I'm sorry but I believe that one is too damaged as parts of the shell which protects it from bacteria are missing. The shell contains bloom which protects the membrane. When it's smaller cracks, they can be "fixed" with melted crayola crayon/wax or fingernail polish.
I put nail polish on it, and then inserted the egg below my chicken. However, the next day the egg was completely broken…How did this turn out?
I had a similar situation, same outcome as of this morning. The hen ended up breaking it even worse than it was.
