Broken peahen wing?

We recently bought two three month old peahens to replace ones lost to foxes over the last couple of years. They are extremely flighty and during an attempt to catch one of them to put her in a coop at night, my husband thinks her wing got a bit caught or moved awkwardly. Today the bottom few wing feathers on one side are hanging down to the ground at a rather strange angle and we're concerned she might have broken something. It's not the main part of the wing, but could be a lower part. Is there any protocol for this or do we just have to keep her calm and let it heal? We'll try to examine her tonight when it's easier to catch her without stressing her out.
Thanks in advance!

Hi all - sorry for the delayed reply and thank you for your replies! It has been a hectic week and I've not had a chance to come back on here, but I've been keeping an eye on her. The problem is that they're both young and new to us so they're very nervous and I've not wanted to stress her out further. The injured one is the dominant of the pair and seems to be eating happily and can get up to her perch at night. She isn't huddling or behaving strangely so I am assuming she's not in too much discomfort. However the nights we've taken the opportunity to examine her, the 'wrist' part of the wing - i.e. where the feathers branch out from - is very hot and quite swollen. It doesn't move in a funny way, as if there's a break, and there's no sensation of dislocation or broken bone, but I am concerned that it doesn't seem to be improving. We think it's probably a sprain, but are not at all familiar with this. It wasn't a terrible injury - she just panicked and hit her wing against the fence when my husband tried to catch her the first night to put her to bed, as they weren't used to being enclosed to begin with.
What's odd is that it's still so hot and swollen. There's no broken skin so she's not infected. We live in the middle of nowhere and there's no avian vet nearby, only the local one for farm animals, so I don't really want to stress her out any more by lugging her down there unnecessarily so soon after the big change of arriving here. On the other hand I also don't want her to have a deformed wing if there's something small broken and it sets wrong. I'll attempt to attach some pictures. They're not great, but she's always running away so it's hard!

We spoke to the vet without taking the peahen and she said if it was broken we'd need to go for an x-ray in another city a long way away, but she thought it didn't sound too serious and we were doing the right thing with the arnica. Yesterday I noticed she was holding it much more normally, so tonight I'll catch her and check that it's not all hot any more and hopefully she'll be on the mend!
