Broken shank?

I noticed this pullet’s leg this morning at feed time. None of the bulging is soft.

Ouch! Is she limping or lame? The left leg appears to be swollen and have been broken. Did this just happen, or could it have happened some time ago. If it is new, I would see a vet or splint it.
