broken something please help asap!

I am new to raising chickens. My 4 week old chick can't stand. She broke or sprained something. She is gasping and has a hard time eating and drinking. I gave her some pain reliver but I dont know if it helped.

What pain reliever did you give? Did she start gasping after you gave medicine? Did she have a fall or get hurt by another chicken? Can you separate her so that she doesn’t get picked on? Offer her some fluids or electrolytes and let her drink on her own. Is she close to food? Is there any swelling or bruising of her feet or legs?

i gave her 1/4 of a baby asprin disolved in water.she was gasping some after i gave her the medicine. I have been holding her for a couple of hours and helping stabalize her leg and she stopped gasping.when i noticed she was hurt i separated her and she is in a enclosure with one other super sweet calm small chicken. whenever she isint next to her she starts cheeping like crazy.i dont know how she got hurt but she was in a different more crowded inclosure with 6 other chickens so i think one flew on her or something.i have been feeding her medicaded food and water with electrolites. i have been keeping her at 80 degrees. she sometimes eats and drinks on her own but i have to offer it to her because she cant walk at all. she is close to food but cant go eat it so i am putting a spoon next to her every hour with food and water.i dont see and bruising or swelling. it might be a brocken pelvis.

Broken bones can heal but she’ll need 3-6 weeks with minimal exertion, so small pen with easy access to feed and water and if necessary a friend, bed her deep and keep it dry and clean, pain meds as needed. Exposed bone or broken skin needs antibiotics and prognosis is guarded but an internal uncomplicated fracture has a good prognosis if a bit tedious to treat.

If you can get a picture of her and her leg injury, that may be helpful. You may want to make her a little chick sling to get her next to food and water. Here is a good thread with pictures and the design on the first few pages:
