My poor rooster broke his spur or nail I can’t tell he has feathers down to his feet.I bandaged up where the blood was coming out of but I don’t know if that’s the best method. Or how often to change bandages? Can he bleed out due to this? He doesn’t look like he’s in pain, any advice helps, thank you in advance.

okay i would say replace bandages every 24 hours so bacteria doesn't get in there and use an anti bacterial spray if its his spur he can bleed out if bleeding does not stop
if nail idk pic needed for more info

Can you post some photos?

You need to determine what and where there's bleeding - a broken feather, spur or nail so you can apply direct pressure to stop the bleeding.
We determined it’s his spur! I was too freaked out when I noticed and just bandaged him up immediately. I undid it to take pictures and confirmed it was his spur, the bleeding did stop after we applied more pressure and we bandaged him up again! Thank you!

He's beautiful. Good luck. Thinking if you keep it clean with a clean bandage he'll do fine. Put some neo on it to help it heal. 💗
