Broken toe

I have a chicken with a crooked blue toe. Is it dislocated or broken? What should I do?

My rooster dislocated or broke is toe while being chased by a hostile neighbor dog. It never turned a different color though. I just let it heal on its own. For a day or so he seemed to not want to walk on it. Now it has healed to a certain point, but the toe still points at an odd angle.

since it's blue I'd say it is not getting any circulation, and there is danger of gangrene. Does the toe pink up any if you move it into its normal position? (assuming you can, that it's not an old fracture that healed crooked, or a birth deformity.) Of course, it would be ideal to have a vet take it off, if not.

I too have one with two crooked toes and have had others, but they were normal incolor and caused the chicken little or no problem.
