My 6 week old Americauna hen just broke her middle right to. I found her hanging upside down by it. The toe got caught in the handle of a feeder. The toe is completely broken. crushed and loose just before the second joint. She is trying as hard as she can to stay off it (just happened 4 hours ago). However, she can still move (limp) around with the other chickens, but she tends to lay down and hide. Can you please help.

Nobody replied? I had one of our cockerels get underfoot this evening and I could hear/feel his toe (or ligament) snap. Absolutely disgusting feeling. How is your hen doing?

You need to support the broken toe!
A. You need to cut from a plastic bottle or container a shape like fig number #1 According to your chicken leg.
B. you need to put the chicken leg on the plastic shape and you need to Wrap the leg with a bandage tape("type") see fig#2
C. Fig#3 show you the position of the leg in plastic shape.
The leg should be in the shape for 7-12 days.
