I have a poor pullet that an over zealous cockeral tried to grab. We saw it happen and ran but the damage was done(he's lucky he's a tolbunt polish or he would have been gone). Her wing is definitely broken just above the "elbow" joint. I separated her and used a thin vet wrap to secure to her body. Problem is the little brat keeps pulling it off. I am going today to get a wider roll. My questions are(1)- how do I keep her from pulling it off? I was thinking of trying to deter with a saddle? and (2)-how long does it need to be wrapped? I know the wildlife people told me their (birds)bones heal quickly so they need to be set asap. All help appreciated, thanks. [IMG]
