Broken Wing!!!!

Don't wrap it too tight.
Try to figure out where it might be broken or dislocated.

@casportpony would have better advice/diagrams.

I'll see if I can do that. Ricky might be a butt hole but he's my butt hole. I'm not sure how he got hurt. He already has a double case of bad bumble foot I can't fix and is just old in general. We did have a lot of buzzards and hawks around yesterday (there was a dead baby dear in the field and all the birds wanted a bite) While I didn't see a wound, It wouldn't surprise me if he was injusred in battle. Or maybe dumb butt just fell.
I feel like butt hole is part of a rooster's job description. Lol. They all are butt holes in one form or another. But we love them just the same.

So to describe how that wing feels in the sense of bones. The big bone is A LOT lower than his okay wing and the small bone (It's not actually a bone but there is something small and hard that attaches the good wing to the rest of his body) has like disappeared.
He's being so good and letting us help him with no fighting.

So we tried the gauze that you pin together... he got out of it 3 times so we are trying the kind that sticks to itself.
Vetwrap is a blessing. You will have to get creative to hold the wing in the right position while also being escape proof.

I am not a vet but I swear after everything I've done with these chickens I should be certified as an assistant lmbo

I literally looked into becoming a vet after dealing with all the chicken stuff but it's a huge undertaking so I'm skipping it hahaha

Um I guess it's up to how well he rests. I personally would probably crate him so he doesnt just flap around and get out of his wrap.
