well, the fact that you are in a mobile home... I recall seeing a documentary specifically dealing with respiratory problem and chemical allergies specific to mobile homes... wayyyyy too much info to go into detail here (plus it was quite a few years ago) but the problems assoc . specifically with mobile homes ... particularly the older ones ... it was a real eye opener for sure!!!

I hope it's not the deadly mold but with the pictures you showed it might very well be. Once mold starts it usually spreads down the walls and it to all the insulation, roof included. In my opinion I would take of a piece of your drywall down and see if there is mold present. It is very dangerous for you and your husband to live there if this is the case. I would contact your insurance agent and find out what kind of options you have, but if this black mold is present you and DH will need to be treated ASAP. Good Luck to you both. Oh and this black mold will kill you. Please do some research on it.

Ok, take time to think things over, but you need to seriously do something. Covering the vents will do nothing. Once your furnace or a./c comes on, the mold spores are sent into your air. It's in the walls, ceiling, etc. It's nasty. I have no idea what may be out there for you but check into government or HUD type of agencies that may have programs to help rid of this. You shouldn't have to wait to have one home paid off to move to another. Do you have family in the area you can stay with. I think creative thinking is going to be needed but look at options for outside help. In the meantime, wear a mask.

I suffer as you do, but have been a lot better since taking singular, and taking zertec d every day. Also nasonex a nasal spray.
If I run into something I'm allergic to I'll end up with bronchitis for sure. Mold is my biggest threat. It sets me off every time.
I had an attack so bad I need an injection of eppy! That was after a trip down my father's basement, I was down there a little under 5 min.
Black mold is a killer, I know first hand because I believe with all my heart that is what killed my father.
He ended up with a disorder that acts like MS, and Lou Garret's all in one.It is called CIDP for short!
They say they don't know what causes it, or why, but black mold is one of the reasons they list under his condition after years of research.
If you have any leaks that are not taken care of you will get black mold, and it needs to be taken care of. You can not afford not to take care of it because your health is in jeopardy.
My fathers basement leaked since the day he moved there. My Mom would clean it up once a week with bleach water. After they divorced he never cleaned the slime river that would happen down there, and I believe that is why he became so sick.
He basement was always wet. It still is and I believe if his wife doesn't do anything about it, she will suffer to. His probate case has not been seen yet, but if she has to sell and they see that basement it will be condemned!
Please see another Dr. I agree with everyone else, something needs to be done.
