Bronchitis / cold remedies?

That I have really considered. I even talked to my Dr about it but she dismissed the idea. I have never really been sick until I got married and moved here. Since then it's been every day.

First off, as long as you have this problem you need to be wearing a dust mask when cleaning the coop etc....there is a real danger of exacerbating symptoms and even secondary complications with many of the molds/spores in the coop dust!!! Please take this precaution!
A stop-gap measure for you but might help a bit>>>, I have a damp basement (mold which regularly appears) and I regularly spray the walls down and mist the air with virkonS... helps quite a bit but in your case I would see if I could get it tested and take appropriate precautions with any mold problems.... if you have carpets you might want to think on having them replaced with a vinyl or laminate or such ... I had an older family friend with terrible chronic bronchitis and emphysema... I replaced all his carpets and it made a big difference.

If I didn't know better, I would say you are my aunt! Except hers always goes into pneumonia...she has been diagnosed with COPD and some of the drugs she has taken have worse side effects than the problem! So she REALLY researchs everything before taking it! good luck

Rocket, I just did a search on "black mold + symptoms" and it pulled a ton. Black mold is the real bad stuff and you can't even see it ( you can once you find it). A dehumidifier would be a start, try a couple, but you may have no other choice than to do some major repairs to the home. Even if you decided to sell the home, inspectors would come in and find it and tell you to fix it before it sold so you have to deal with it. I would find someone to inspect and see where for sure it is.
Is your home exposed to sun or is it hiding under trees? Where do you live?
You don't want to be on meds. for the rest of you life. Plus the cost of that I'm sure isn't helping either.

I'm sure this is all discouraging but you'll feel so much better if you can find and kill it, if it is your problem.

Good luck,
Stephanie

Just saw your pictures. I hate to say this, but you may have to take a loss and start all new. Your husband sounds like he's in a horrible place and I'm not sure how many symptoms are reversible once you remove the culprit. I know it may seem overwhelming but you can get through it. Pray, we'll all pray for the change to happen.

Rocket you and your husband need to go to different Dr. I had one just like you are describing and I now I am diabetic w/complications because she too just turned her head. I also have high blood pressure and you have to watch out for home remidies too cause they can cause your bp to rise. I feel like your house is also a big problem. Did your Dr order you to take breathing treatments? Thats what really helps me out when I am as bad as your describing. I will be praying for you and your husband.

Those pics are scary! My DH is a roofing contractor and is out-of-town for 2 days so I can't show these pics to him. You definitely have a huge moisture problem that won't be an easy fix. It's possible that the insulation behind the walls is damp as well. If the damage is very extensive, it might be cheaper (and much healthier) to buy another mobile home than to gut and redo the one you have. I'm very sorry.
