i bought several packs of these from TSC to water my chicks so they aren’t drinking poop water. It screws onto a water bottle. They are constantly leaking everywhere please help!

Can you determine where the water is coming from? From the upper white part, the red nipple part? Have you tried tightening each place? Tried it on different bottles?

I have tried tightening everything and tried it on different bottles. It doesn’t leak while I’m watching it so it must occur when they are using it but I don’t ever notice a stream of water. It is happeneing in two brooders in every single bottle

That's one of the problems with vertical nipples----they leak. They leak less if the container they're on is absolutely vertical, but they still leak. The other problem (as I see it) is if they're not screwed into something like a PVC pipe, the container they're attached to must be hung up. They also freeze easily in the winter time. Horizontal nipples beat vertical nipples hands down.

I hung each of mine up to test them overnight. No leaking. But the chicks can make it drip some. Mine did when they were smaller, but it wasn't that big of a deal. Just a damp area right under. They are older and use a nipple bucket outdoors, and a small bottle indoors. I don't notice any dampness under.
In this close up you can see a small chick drinking and causing a drip forming on the other side below. I just put extra shavings under.

I live in southeast Texas and while it did snow here three times this winter which is unheard of, freezing isn’t a big concern but I am thinking of using horizontal nipples in the coop outside once they feather out
